Telefonica defaults users to their HTML report, where a range of technology is deployed – including a Flash-driven, map-based data manipulation tool. In exploring this map, users gather information by region or by data category together with an explanation of why Telefonica values and measures each disclosure. Users can also use the map to create a customized PDF.
Additionally, Telefonica’s reporting includes a browser-based interactive GRI Content Index (with ‘back’ button functionality), and a 50-page ‘Summary report’ in an image-based format. Telefonica also requires its subsidiary companies to report, with 14 currently available. Subsidiaries are required to use GRI from their second reporting cycle onwards.
